April 6, 2009: Athenaeum/Foreign Policy Lecture Series Speaker Announced – Wendy Chamberlain

She is the president of the Middle East Institute, former ambassador to Pakistan and Laos, assistant administrator and bureau head of USAID for Asia and the Near East. She will present “Stabilizing Pakistan” on Monday, April 6, 2009, at the Boulder Outlook Hotel, 800 28th St., Boulder. Happy Hour is 6 p.m., Dinner at 7 p.m., Lecture at 8 p.m. $26 per person for dinner and lecture; cash bar. Ten lecture-only seats are available for $10 by reservation only. Geopolitics Discussion Group Session Canceled Due to Snow

The March 26 discussion group session on “India and China: Are They in Line for Superpower Status?” was canceled due to the blizzard that day. The group hopes to reschedule the topic at a later date.
